Event Details

“I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of the whole human being.” -- Abraham Lincoln The Saturday before President’s Day, LOHV-NYC is throwing a party in honor of all those who are respectful of animals’ rights. Come and enjoy delicious vegan snacks, drinks, music and dancing. Call us at (212) 889-0303 for more information or for help registering. Since many of our members live outside of Manhattan, we have decided to have our first party of the year in Brooklyn. The wonderful Cynthia King has donated the use of her dance studio on Prospect Ave. for this event. Thank you, Cynthia! Right now, without a doubt, we are building a strong base of support in the New York City Council, State Senate and State Assembly. One day, with your help, we will put a vegan in the White House. There’s no better way to celebrate President’s Day than partying with LOHV-NYC. See you on the 19th!

League of Humane Voters of New York City

The League of Humane Voters of New York City (LOHV-NYC) seeks to mobilize public concern for animals through the democratic political process. We campaign for the election of candidates for public office who will work to enact animal rights legislation. Recognizing that animal exploitation is a political issue and not just a moral one, we intend to make animal rights a mainstream political issue by building support among citizens, activists, political parties, candidates and elected representatives.
